Oh yes – but biology has a say in this too. Nice-fitting pair of jeans shows off defined abs, tight glutes, or sexy hipbones, all of which “promise a healthy, virile partner,” says psychotherapis and author of Matchlines, Molly Barrow. “That ideal is hardwired into our brains when we’re looking for a mate.” Why? Because we seek out the best possible genetic material to pass onto our offspring. When that material is covered in denim, all the better.
