From holey weekend wonders to smart semi-formal denims, the following constitute a stocked cupboard
Men need six good pairs of denim in their arsenal. Think of your collection as a pyramid with the following proportions.
(1 pair) The Rock Star
A clean, darker wash, like a deep indigo or midnight blue, will ensure this pair is easy to dress up with a suit jacket or a dress shirt. Consider these your winning pair on a date.
(2 pairs) The Utility Players
These pairs can be a little more casual, but should still be able to go from work to a night out. Branch out into a slightly distressed, lighter wash or break away from blue and try a black or grey pair. Both work well with a fitted cotton T-shirt.
(3 pairs) Mainstays
Durability and wearability are your driving forces here, so pick up some basics – the old school kind you break in yourself or demote a pair of jeans from higher in the pyramid.
